Band Size Comparisons for Square Wedding Bands

However, even if you’re not looking for the quirks of a braided band or additional colored gemstones, it’s important to note that our classic Milla bands, both round and square, come in a variety of widths that can affect both the fit and the look of your band. Our Milla Square band, with its slightly sharper edges that give it a more contemporary appearance, is available in a range of widths, from 1mm to 6mm, and that difference in width also makes a difference in the way that the band presents. 

You can see the stark difference between these two widths— with only a four millimeters variance — the difference in widths will affect both the cost and the appearance of your band. The dainty, waning-minimalist look of the Milla Square band in 1mm has a considerably different style than the 5mm band, which, in a wider fit, veers from the dainty to provide a look that is bold, clean-cut and robust. It is important to consider width, then, when thinking about the occasion and who the ring is for, with the difference in width greatly affecting the aesthetic qualities of the band.

Not only does the width of the band affect its style and presentation, but band width also has a significant effect on the fit of the ring. 

From the above diagram, you might be able to imagine how the width of the band will affect the fit and feel of the square band across measurements. With narrow square bands fitting true to standard ring sizing, and wider bands taking up more surface area on the finger, the difference in width makes for a tighter fit. In general, we recommend sizing up, about a quarter of a size, with wider band options.
